I’ve wanted to write this post for a while, but thought it may have missed its relevance window…however, because reading up on yesterday’s big news from Rome I spotted the photo below AND it’s Thursday (10 p.m. on ABC!), I thought, go for it!
Somewhere between Revenge moving to Sundays and bidding au revoir to Blair Waldorf, Scandal became my favorite televised guilty pleasure. The show’s completely implausible (I hope!). Yet, while I’ve never gone to the lengths of rigging a presidential election, the PR girl in me relates to main character Olivia Pope’s role as image maker and fixer of client “problems.” However, like the show’s star Kerry Washington (see how I make myself even more like famous people), my real-life is less focused on thwarting assassination conspiracies spearheaded by Supreme Court justices and more about killing it with fashion.
And, with help of stylist Erin Walsh, Ms. Washington kills it indeed. My style crush started during her worldwide press tour for Django Unchained and reached epic proportions during awards season when it seemed she could do no wrong on the red carpet, especially given the disproportionately large number of tea- and ankle-length dresses she rocked (I swear, no one but her looks good in them). Here’s a look back at some of her finest frocks from the past few months. Are you as big a fan as I am?
